What is Diesel Engine ?
An Engine is a machine designed to convert energy into useful mechanical motion. Heat engines, including internal combustion engine and external combustion engines (such as steam engines) burn a fuel to create heat, which then creates motion.
Rudolf Diesel (1858-1913) :Rudolf Diesel, who is best known for the invention of the engine that
bears his name, was born in Paris, France in 1858. His invention came
while the steam engine was the predominant power source for large
industries.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE:
An internal combustion engine (ICE) is a heat engine where the combustion of a fuel occurs with an oxidizer (usually air) in a combustion chamber that is an integral part of the working fluid flow circuit.
EXTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE:
An external combustion engine (EC engine) is a heat engine where a working fluid, contained internally, is heated by combustion in an external source, through the engine wall or a heat exchanger. The fluid then, by expanding and acting on the mechanism of the engine, produces motion and usable work.
SPARK IGNITION ENGINE:
A spark-ignition engine is an internal combustion engine, generally a petrol engine, where the combustion process of the air-fuel mixture is ignited by a spark from a spark plug.
Two Stroke Engine:
A two-stroke, or two-cycle, engine is a type of internal combustion engine which completes a power cycle with two strokes (up and down movements) of the piston during only one crankshaft revolution. This is in contrast to a "four-stroke engine", which requires four strokes of the piston to complete a power cycle.
